Free Hosting British Columbia is a division of Van Isle BC Web Solutions located in Gold River, British Columbia Canada. Our president is Paul Smith who brings a lot of knowledge in setting up and running non profit societies. He sat as the Stewardship Coordinator for Nootka/Kyuquot and was instrumental in setting up the Gold River Streamkeepers Society, Nootka Sound River Stewards, Nootka Sound Shorekeepers and Nootka Sound Watershed Society.
Paul has seen first hand the hurdles placed before non profit societies in small rural commnunities who struggle with a limited revenue stream and membership base. He has also seen what these small groups of volunteers are capable of when given the opportunity to perform. Volunteers are an integral part of society and when simple things like aiding in financial situations occur they function at a higher level with less burn out.
This is why he has chosen to help non profit societies who need subsidizing with their internet presence so they can get on with the tasks at hand which benefit all British Columbians.
