Free Host BC
Welcome to Free Host British Columbia. Our company offers services for the non profit societies in British Columbia, Canada who cannot afford to pay all of the costs of designing and hosting their websites. We will build you a basic 5-10 page site for a very minimal cost to you (could be free) and host it for free. All we ask is that you place one of our advertisements (see right column or bottom of page) on your pages to help us recover some associated costs that will help allow us to continue to provide free design/hosting to you.
If you are interested in our offer and want to get a quote, you already have a website designed and are looking for a free host or to see if you qualify for a free design, just fill out our application form. We will look it over and make a decision whether or not you meet the criteria we have established in order for you to host with us. All clients are required to place one of our advertisements (see right column or bottom of page) on your pages to qualify.
Once you are accepted for free design/hosting, you will receive 500 mb of space with 1000 mb of bandwidth. You will also receive 5 email addresses, 5 mysql databases, 5 subdomains, 5 ftp accounts, and access to CPanel 11.28.87 control panel.
Our web server is installed with the latest version of Linux CENTOS 5.5 x86_64 standard operating system, Apache 2.217, MySQL 5.0.92, PHP 5.2.16, Cgi, Perl 5.8.8.
Our server is protected with a full security package that includes ConfigServer Security and Firewall, Mod Security, Rootkit Hunter, Chrootkit, Mailscanner/SpamAssassin, MailWatch and ClamAV Anti-virus.
You will have access to some cPAddon Scripts which include Word Press v3.1, YaBB v2.3.1 bullentin board, phpBB3 v3.0.8 bullentin board, E107 v0.7.24 content management system (cms), Geeklog v1.4.1 cms, Mambo v4.6.5 cms, phpWiki v1.3.14 cms, and Coppermine v1.5.12 gallery.
